How do I Register? back to top
Placing your property advert is easy. Follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Create a username and password
2. Login to the secure owner admin area using the newly created username and password
3. Upload all your property details and photos

How do I add Photographs? back to top
You can upload photos straight from your computer into your ad. Depending on the quality and/or format of the photo you upload we may need to reformat the photo before it is displayed on the website. However, most photos will be available for immediate display on your ad.

How do I keep my bookings/availability up to date? back to top
An easy to use availability calendar is provided so that you can easily update your bookings and that customers can view which weeks are available before sending an enquiry.

How am I alerted about enquiries? Will I receive SMS Alerts? back to top
At times you may not be able to access your computer so you may wish to take advantage of our SMS texting service. A short message will be sent from the enquirer, via LettingsAbroad, direct to your mobile phone. This will enable you to respond immediately in order to secure a potential booking.

How can I increase the effectiveness of my ad? back to top
The objective of registering your property with us is to rent your property so don't miss putting in all the important features of your property. Make full use of the "short description" field when completing your property details page as this field is shown to holidaymakers on the search results page. Try to provide all the information that you think a holidaymaker may need like directions to your property, correct pricing and what are the surrounding amenities. Have a look at similar properties on other sites to ensure you are not overcharging.

What do I get if I advertise my property? back to top
Everyone who advertises with Lettingsabroad.com will get a full colour page advertisement for their property. All properties are added to our website and holidaymakers can browse the site and find homes to rent. Advertisers can make changes or updates to their advertisement at any time using their registered username and password.

How can I tell if the enquiry is genuine? back to top
The vast majority of visitors to LettingAbroad.com are genuine people looking for a quality holiday home to rent. They like using the site because they can get in touch with the owners of the property, ask specific questions and re-assure themselves that the property is what it claims to be. By the same token, you can email or talk to the people wanting to rent your property and make sure they are genuine. If you don't like the sound of them, don't take the booking!

There have been some isolated cases of attempted fraud. One method is for a potential renter to offer to pay for the rental of the property by sending a cashiers cheque or bankers draft for considerably more than the rental amount due. They then ask you to send on the unused balance of the cashiers cheque or bankers draft to a third party for some other transaction unrelated to the rental of the holiday property. But the cashiers cheque or bankers draft is a fake and is returned to your bank several days after the money you paid to cover the unused balance has left your account.

The obvious solution to this fraud is never to pay out any money to a potential guest until you are ABSOLUTELY sure you have secured the funds.
